Ask the AI assistant questions or for help while your document stays open. AI doesn’t change the document by itself.

Text
Add bold, italics, underline, text color, highlights and links to body text, headings, quotes and callouts.
Tables and checklists
Paste tables copied from a spreadsheet and freeze the first column. Number-only columns, like amounts, align right with thousands separators. Checklists can move into a task table.
Task table
Give each task an assignee, date and status, and view them as a table or Kanban. Amount columns show the sum and average right away.
Saved bundles
Insert common setups like an expense split, meeting notes, a schedule, a who-brings-what list or an expense log in one go. Save part of your own document to My bundles and reuse it in other documents.
File attachments
Upload photos and document files to a document, then preview and download them. Tables and task tables can have file columns too. Uploading is for members, with up to 20 MB per file and 100 MB in total per document.
Polls, surveys and expense splits
Polls take answers as soon as you create them, and a poll link lets you ask people outside the document too. For an expense split, just enter who took part and the amounts, and Doci works out who sends money to whom.

Start from a template, save your own

Preview a template, pick it, and it becomes a new document. Save setups you use often to My templates.

Doci templates
Preview Doci templates for travel, home, groups, study and work, then start a new document. No sign-in needed.
My templates
Save a document you're writing to My templates, refine it in the template editor and use it for new documents. Restore deleted templates from Template trash.
Separate from the original
A document made from a template is a separate, new document. Before you use one, you'll see which items get reset, like status, checks and assignees.
My library
Sign in to organize My library with categories, tags and favorites. Documents you opened on this device are waiting in Recent documents.

Share only as much as you need

It starts with one link, but the owner decides who can do what.

Can edit · Can view
Select Share, choose Can edit or Can view, and send the link. Can edit is for members only, so both the person creating the link and the people editing need to sign in. Set an expiry or revoke access in Advanced settings.
Member invites and ownership
Invite members to a document, and they accept it from Invitations to add it to their library. Ownership transfers are confirmed the same way.
Document protection
Lock the content to stop edits, and decide whether recipients can make a copy. Documents made without signing in can be reopened with a recovery key.
Poll & survey link
Create a separate link that lets people answer questions without seeing the document.

The same document, at the same time, with everyone's input kept safe

Members who open a Can edit link can select Edit and start writing with you right away. Guests can read and comment, and can edit after signing in. Keep going while you see who's editing where.

Simultaneous edits preserved
When several people type in the same paragraph or in different cells of the same table at once, no one overwrites anyone else.
Who's editing now
See who edited last and who's editing now under the title, and share thoughts in comments.
Input protection
Sync status is always shown. If the connection drops, your input is kept on this device and restored later. Undo takes back your last change.
History and restore
Owners compare earlier and current versions in History and restore to any point they need.

FAQ

Questions before you start

I'm not sure which template to start with.

Try a blank document for short notes, a table for schedules or comparisons, and a checklist for things to get ready. You can preview templates before choosing, and edit the new document to fit your needs.

Does using a template change someone else's document?

No. A document made from a template is a separate, new document. Later edits to the original template don't carry over to documents already made. The notice before use shows which items get reset, like status, checks, assignees and dates.

What is Doci?

Doci is a document service for writing together and organizing tables and tasks. Share a link to show a document and collect feedback, and sign in to invite other members and edit together.

What changes when I sign in?

You can edit documents together with other members through Can edit links or member invitations. You can also use My library and My templates on all your devices. Whether you can open or edit a document still depends on its sharing settings.

Who can see my documents?

Access is managed with sharing permissions. Before passing on a link, check its access level and who it's going to. Give people only the access they need to read or write.

Who can use the AI assistant?

The AI assistant is optional and is for signed-in members. If you can view a document, you can ask about it and get a summary. You can add what AI suggests only when you can edit that document. Guests can only use “Find templates by topic”.

What happens to what I send to AI?

Your request, any text you selected, and the document content the feature needs, within what you can currently see, are sent through OpenRouter, a US AI service, to the AI model provider. In a shared document this can include what other participants wrote and names in the document, and requests carry no account-identifying information. Doci doesn’t use AI requests or document content for AI training, but it doesn’t separately restrict how providers keep data or use it for training, so depending on the provider, requests and responses may be kept for a period or used to improve their own services (including model training). For requests that need current information, the Doci server sends short search queries, which AI writes from your request and the document, to external search engines. Separately, to build the search index for finding documents by meaning, the titles and text snippets of documents not in the Trash are sent to OpenRouter whether or not you use the AI assistant. See “AI assistant” in the Privacy Policy for details.

Can I use it without signing in?

Guests can create and write documents, and share them with Can view or Can comment links or poll & survey links. In documents shared with you, you can comment and answer polls and surveys, depending on the link's access. Sign in to edit together, invite members and use My library across devices. As a guest, please also read the recovery instructions you're given.

Won't things get mixed up if several people edit at once?

Typing at the same time in the same paragraph, or in different cells of the same table, never overwrites anyone's work. See who's editing now under the title, and undo your last change.

I opened a link in KakaoTalk and can't sign in.

KakaoTalk's built-in browser keeps a separate sign-in from your usual browser. Select “Open in default browser” at the top of the screen to open the same document in your usual browser.

How do live changes and saved versions differ?

Changes are shared immediately. Save keeps the whole document as a version. Wait for syncing to finish before closing the document.

Can I get back a document I deleted?

Documents in the trash can be restored until their restore deadline. After restoring, check the sharing permissions again. Permanent deletion can't be undone.

Start with today's meeting.
Write it in Doci.

Create your first document without signing up and share it with a link. When you want to edit together, just sign in.
